Unit 2 – Emotions

Emotions are a complex of psychological states that express a certain degree of pleasure or displeasure. Also, emotions are directly connected with mood, which influences the individuals’ behaviour in many aspects. The emotional process identifies the stimuli that beneficiaries receive from reality and enables them to respond efficiently. The aim is to help beneficiaries to understand and to separate the different emotional aspects, in order to regulate their emotional state and cope with anxiety and further conflicts. The big “umbrella” of emotions includes the subunits of emotional regulation, stress management and resilience. The “Emotions” unit of competence includes the subunits Emotion regulation, Stress management and Resilience.
