Unit 7 – Identity

This Unit of Competence covers intrinsic and extrinsic blocks that inhibit women for reaching a better work-life balance. It examines values and believes that women hold to themselves, intrinsic and extrinsic stereotypes, and discrimination women might face in relation to how to achieve better work-life balance. The main objective of the unit is dual: to help participants acknowledge and identify when these stumbling blocks occur and to equip them with knowledge on how to break these patterns to better support women in work-life balance. The “Identity” unit includes the subunits Values and beliefs, Stereotypes and Discrimination at work.
